The Romford Tornadoes are a non-checking team. The team provides a relaxed environment for people to play ice hockey. It is a mixed gender club and the skill level varies from complete beginners to experienced players. The club will only accept players over the age 18.

Potential new recruits are encouraged to contact one of the committee members, this can be done via the reception desk at Romford Ice Arena or by e-mail to mail@romfordtornadoes.co.uk . Players must have prior agreement with the committee members to train with us, and please note that we do not accept "walk-ups".

After an initial two week trial period all players will be required to have membership through EIHA to continue training with the club, as long as players hold this membership, they are suitably insured and can take part in training and scrimmages. However, for all EIHA officially sanctioned games, all players will be required to hold a EIHA membership and be registered to the Romford Tornadoes Ice Hockey Club.
